DMCA Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Pin Catch respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This page explains how copyright owners can report concerns under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

About Our Service

Pin Catch processes public Pinterest links and helps users save media that Pinterest has made available. We do not host or publish Pinterest videos, GIFs, or images as a library or gallery. Files originate from Pinterest and are delivered to the user who requested them. Pin Catch is not affiliated with Pinterest, Inc.

Because the original content is hosted on Pinterest, the most effective way to remove infringing material is to also report it through Pinterest's own copyright process.

Filing a DMCA Notice

If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act for one, send a written notice containing:

  1. The copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  2. The material you want us to act on, including the exact Pinterest pin URL.
  3. Your contact details: name, address, phone number, and email.
  4. A good faith statement: "I have a good faith belief that the use of the material described above is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
  5. An accuracy statement: "The information in this notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed."
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete notices may delay our response. Knowingly false claims may expose you to legal liability.

After a Valid Notice

We will review a complete notice promptly and take appropriate action, which may include blocking the specific pin URL from being processed by our tool.

Counter-Notification

If you believe material was blocked by mistake, send a counter-notification to the email above containing:

  1. Identification of the blocked material
  2. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe it was blocked because of a mistake or misidentification
  3. Your name, address, phone number, and email
  4. Your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address, and agreement to accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice
  5. Your physical or electronic signature

We may forward a valid counter-notification to the original complainant and, unless they tell us they have started legal action, may restore access within a reasonable time.

Repeat Infringers

Where appropriate, we may restrict access to the Site for anyone repeatedly named in valid infringement notices.

For Users

Saving a video for personal viewing does not give you permission to republish or commercially use it. Please get the creator's permission first.
